Pardon the Interruption

Sorry I left you hanging the other day. My mom interrupted me. For some reason beyond my understanding my family has this weird weekly tradition. Every Thursday my family all pile into my mom's van and drive to the local video store where we all must decided on a movie. Now imagine 2 high school sisters, a western loving dad, a mom who thinks every movie is too scary or too sad, and a middle school boy that just wants to watch sci-fi movies. Got it? Now imagine how long it would take them all agree on a movie. Now add 30 minutes. That's how long it takes every week.

"I want to get Serendipity!" My sister, Jess, kept repeating over and over.
"Were not getting that damn movie again." My dad had a way of being able to shut her up. It worked this time as well.

We ended up getting Legally Blonde; my dad and I usually get out voted so I probably won't be seeing Planet of the Apes anytime soon. He can only do so much, hes not a miracle worker. He is, however, the hardest working person Ive ever seen. Want a chimney? He can build it. That's not enough for you? He will build you a house to go with it. Did I mention he does all of it by himself? Basically my dad is the manliest man I know which can make me feel like I'm a disappointment to him at times. I have average to below average grades, I cant build anything that doesn't involve legos, and I'm bad at all the sports he tried to make me good at. We do have one thing in common, however. We love space. Obviously someone had to love space seeing how they named me Aldrin. This, unfortunately, is the only common ground we share. I'm the baby of the family with 3 girls influencing everything I do so I'm not like all the "boys will be boys" kids at school, I'm getting there very very slowly though. Its kind of like they took the express mail to being a football playing, mud throwing, wrestling watching boy and I am using the pony express. The good news is at least I know my boyness will eventually be delivered. I know what you're thinking and no, I'm not gay. Not that there is anything wrong with gays. I'm just not one of them. I'm positive of that. Which reminds me-

Charlotte: The Grounded Star. (That's the cool title name I came up with, for her. It's perfect!) Anyways so we were sitting there for hours and suddenly she just gets up and leaves! She didn't even say a word. She just got up and as she started to walk away she turned back and smiled. I was so confused. I asked her where she was going but she just kept walking until she disappeared into the woods behind the school yard. As I started packing up my things to head home I finally noticed it. The Grounded Star had forgotten her book. The Princess Bride. I looked in the front cover to notice its a book from the Barwood Public Library. I think it's time I return my overdue copy of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
